With more than a decade of experience in public relations, Adam Russo founded West Michigan Newspop to spotlight stories often overlooked in the West Michigan news landscape. Independent and locally owned, West Michigan Newspop focuses on thriving small businesses, impactful nonprofits, and dynamic people shaping our community. With an intention to complement traditional media outlets, West Michigan Newspop offers a fresh space to celebrate the diverse and inspiring individuals and organizations throughout our region.

Adam is a lifelong learner deeply rooted in the West Michigan communications community. As the owner of public relations firm COM 616, his professional experience includes working with global brands, regional companies, and nonprofits. Adam is a three-time Grand Rapids Business Journal "40 Under 40" honoree and has served as an adjunct public relations professor at Grand Valley State University. Committed to community service, he actively participates on several boards and committees. Outside of his professional work, Adam enjoys spending time with his dog, training for and competing in marathons and Ironman triathlons, and exploring national parks with his wife.
