Adam Russo created West Michigan Newspop after recognizing a niche for stories that often go untold in the West Michigan news landscape. Focusing on thriving small businesses, impactful nonprofits, and dynamic people shaping our community, West Michigan Newspop is a blog created to illuminate these lesser-told stories. With an intention to complement traditional media outlets, West Michigan Newspop offers a fresh space to celebrate the diverse and inspiring individuals and organizations throughout our region.
Adam is a lifelong learner deeply rooted in the West Michigan communications community. As the owner of public relations firm COM 616, his professional experience includes working with global brands, regional companies, and nonprofits. Outside of the office, Adam is committed to community service, serving on several boards and committees. In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing with his dog, training and competing in marathons and Ironman triathlons, and visiting national parks with his wife. He is a three-time Grand Rapids Business Journal "40 Under 40" honoree and has served as an adjunct public relations professor at Grand Valley State University.
