Entrepreneur donates $200,000 to support youth

YouTuber and financial educator Chris Sain Jr. has donated $200,000 to local organizations and students in Grand Rapids.

LifeQuest Urban Outreach Center received support for its mission to provide comprehensive services and programs to urban communities. The GR Youth Football League was granted funds to enhance opportunities for youth to engage in sports and develop essential life skills.

Additionally, scholarships have been awarded to 25 local students attending institutions including Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, Florida A&M University, and Prairie View A&M University. The amounts of the individual donations and scholarships were not disclosed.

A graduate of Grand Rapids Public Schools, Sain has a mentoring and youth development background, including work with Grand C.I.T.Y. Sports, Inc. and Grand Rapids Community College. According to Sain, these experiences shaped his philanthropic commitment to education and empowerment, particularly for students of color and those from challenging backgrounds.

"As someone who grew up in Grand Rapids and benefited from mentorship and educational opportunities, I believe it's crucial to pay it forward. By investing in our youth and supporting organizations that provide valuable services, we're building a stronger foundation for the future of our community," said Sain.
