Nonprofit to host 10th annual culinary showdown
Meals on Wheels Western Michigan (MOWWM) will host its 10th Annual Chef’s Specialty event on Wednesday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. A signature fundraising experience celebrating culinary artistry and the power of community, this year’s event will take place at the Goei Center, 818 Butterworth St. SW in Grand Rapids.
Chef’s Specialty brings together top local chefs to compete to create the winning dish. Attendees will enjoy a multi-course dining experience while supporting MOWWM’s mission to provide quality nutrition programming and promote health and independence for thousands of seniors in Kent and Allegan counties.
“We are beyond excited to celebrate a decade of Chef’s Specialty,” said Lisa Wideman, President and CEO, Meals on Wheels Western Michigan. “This event not only showcases the incredible talent of our local chefs but also highlights the importance of community.”
VIP guests can join the tasting portion of the event to sample and vote on the top dishes created by the top three chefs in the competition.
