The Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Foundation and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. will host the third annual Noodle Fest on Saturday, March 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The culinary showdown will feature 17 noodle dishes from local vendors and live, family-friendly entertainment.

The Noodle Fest chef competition has local chefs contend to create the most delicious noodle dish. Attendees can taste $6 bowls of noodle creations and vote for the best dish through donations.

"Noodle Fest brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the diversity and richness of our cultures through the universal language of food," said Ace Marasigan, Executive Director, Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Foundation. "By sharing a meal, we share a part of ourselves, connecting us and making our community stronger and more inclusive."

In addition to the culinary battle, the event will feature karaoke for kids and encourage attendees to embrace the noodle theme by dressing as their favorite noodle dish.

Organizers have been working to provide attendees with an improved experience with shorter lines, better signage, and information about each noodle dish in advance.

Noodle Fest is part of World of Winter, a two-month initiative by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. to celebrate the season and transform Grand Rapids into a winter wonderland. For more information on Noodle Fest, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1082852086216618.
