A new concierge medical practice is open in Ada. Founded by twin sisters and board-certified family medicine physicians Lara and Jana Baatenburg, Concierge Medicine of West Michigan offers 24/7 access to physicians, same- or next-day appointments, extended visits, direct texting with your physician, and access to specialized testing options, including genetic, cardiac, and other advanced screenings. Officially opening in the fall of 2024, the practice is located at 6741 Fulton St. E, Ste. 200.
Both physicians completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. They bring years of experience in primary care, focusing on preventive health, nutrition, exercise, and patient-centered care.
“Our approach integrates lifestyle medicine, advanced health screenings, and direct physician access, ensuring a proactive rather than reactive healthcare experience,” said Dr. Lara Baatenburg. “We prioritize lifestyle-based strategies as the foundation of care, incorporating medication and other treatments when necessary.”
The concierge medical practice serves individuals and families of all ages, with specialized training in perimenopause and menopause care.
“Our passion for keeping you healthy and active throughout your life sets us apart. We empower you to take control of your health, delivering results that make a real difference,” she added. “If you’re looking for a higher standard of care, we’re the choice that elevates your health.”
According to the twin physicians, Concierge Medicine of West Michigan aims to address the frustrations of traditional healthcare by offering a patient-first approach that prioritizes time, trust, and comprehensive care. “We build real relationships with our patients. We get to know them, so they never have to wonder if they’re being heard or understood,” Lara said.
Concierge Medicine of West Michigan hosts events on health-related topics at its office, such as genetic testing and pelvic health.
The Baatenburgs see growth opportunities for the practice, including plans to expand with additional offices and leverage online programs to broaden their impact nationwide.
“Our goal is to become a trusted source for the highest quality primary care information and services,” Lara said.
