Wilson leads Muskegon Chamber into 2024 with positive energy
The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce has appointed new board leadership and a theme for the upcoming year. Jonathan Wilson, Regional Manager for DTE Energy, steps in as the new Board Chair, alongside a team of distinguished officers and new board members committed to driving forward the Chamber’s initiatives.
The leadership team for 2024 includes Vice Chair Aaron Maike, President at Baker College Muskegon; Treasurer Joel Kamp, CEO of Pigeon Hill Brewing Co.; and Secretary Sharlene Shineldecker, Chief Commercial Officer at Transnation Title Agency – Lakeshore Division.
New additions to the board include Jeff Cave, CEO at Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon; Alex Fonseca, Owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Muskegon; and Nancy Westgate-Sytsema, Co-President of Wesco, Inc.
The theme for 2024 is Positive Energy, as chosen by the new board chair, Wilson.

Positive Energy creates an environment where organizations can thrive individually, while contributing collectively to the prosperity of the entire community.”
The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors also includes Anna Duggins, Attorney, Parmenter Law; Paula Kendra, Principal, Kendra Consulting; David Ramos, Owner, Ramos and Sons Auto Body; Marla Schneider, CEO, Greater Muskegon Economic Development; Kaja Thornton-Hunter, Owner, Overcoming Barriers & The Us Café; Randi Lynn Talsma, Owner, Blended Furniture Market; Jack Russell, President, Rolar Products; and Cathy Nye, Segment Controller, Howmet Aerospace.
“If a member business has a milestone to celebrate in 2024, we are asking them to contact us as soon as possible”, said Cindy Larsen, President, Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. “Extra effort will be put forth to recognize and celebrate business success.”
