In recognition of October as Blindness Awareness Month, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) is raising awareness and funds for individuals who are blind or have low vision. Crafting Vision will occur on Thursday, October 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, 150 Ottawa Ave NW, Suite 1500, in Grand Rapids.

“The community support at this event is crucial to fund our services,” said Tim Tuthill, Executive Director, Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. “We want to restore hope for everyone experiencing vision impairments and help them maintain their independence in their daily lives.”

Since its founding in 1913, ABVI has been helping individuals with low vision or blindness thrive. The funds raised during this event will support ABVI in providing low vision services, rehabilitation, education, and vision aids, impacting over 1,000 children and adults across Michigan each year.

Guests at Crafting Vision will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and craft cocktails. Tickets can be purchased and sponsorship opportunities are available at www.abvimi.org.
