Local businesses can be part of MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition
Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International and creators of classic games and puzzles, under license from Hasbro, will officially debut MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition next fall. Top Trumps is seeking Grand Rapids businesses and nonprofits to be part of the game.
MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition will replace the perennial board game’s famous Atlantic City squares, from ‘Boardwalk’ to ‘Park Place,’ with Grand Rapids businesses, nonprofits and landmarks. This special edition MONOPOLY board will include customized Community Chest and Chance playing cards, and MONOPOLY money, ensuring that every detail of the game pays homage to the Grand Rapids community.
“Grand Rapids is a vibrant arts city known for its natural beauty and strong sense of community,” said Lindsay Wallace, Top Trumps. “We aim to ensure that MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition accurately portrays what the Grand Rapidians and tourists love about the city.”
From iconic landmarks to vibrant neighborhoods, from small businesses to nonprofits that shape our community—now is the time to share your recommendations for the organizations and landmarks that deserve a spot on the MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition board.
To ensure the board captures the essential elements of Grand Rapids, Top Trumps is seeking recommendations from the public about which locations should be featured as squares on the board.
To submit a recommendation for consideration, email Grandrapids@toptrumps.com or visit https://us.toptrumps.com/pages/grand-rapids-monopoly before January 31, 2025, at 5 p.m.
MONOPOLY: Grand Rapids Edition will officially debut next fall and be available in stores and online at retail partners like Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and select local Grand Rapids retailers. To learn more about MONOPOLY city experience boards, visit www.toptrumps.us.
