Offering a comprehensive range of orthopedic services to West Michigan residents under one roof, Holland Hospital and Shoreline Orthopaedics leaders recently celebrated the grand opening of the Orthopedic Center & Surgery Center at Westpark. The new clinic is located at 8251 Westpark Way in Zeeland.

"This new facility is a testament to our partnership with Shoreline Orthopaedics and our shared dedication to enhancing access to exceptional orthopedic care at a reduced cost for residents in West Michigan," said Patti VanDort, CEO, Holland Hospital.

As residents throughout the community age and become more active, the demand for specialized orthopedic care continues to grow. Recent research indicates that ambulatory surgery centers are expected to perform 68 percent of orthopedic surgeries by the mid-2020s, with treatment costs up to 40 percent lower than in a hospital setting.

"We are thrilled to unveil this new facility, a collaborative effort between Holland Hospital and Shoreline Orthopaedics," said Bruce Stewart, MD, Shoreline Orthopaedics. "By offering expert diagnosis, medical treatment, surgery, and physical therapy in one convenient location, we are making it easier than ever for patients to receive the care they need."

The Orthopedic Center & Surgery Center at Westpark is a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility offering comprehensive services. At its heart is a 19,000-square-foot surgery center equipped with two operating rooms, expandable to four, along with two procedure rooms and 16 post-anesthesia and recovery stations. Designed as an outpatient surgery center, it features advanced technology such as Mako SmartRobotics™ to ensure patients experience a comfortable and cost-effective surgical journey.

Adjacent to the surgery center is a 15,000-square-foot orthopedic clinic, marking the third Shoreline Orthopaedics location in the region. Complementing these facilities, the center offers a 5,000-square-foot outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation service tailored for return-to-sport and work programs. This area, managed by Holland Hospital's Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation team, includes an indoor training space with a turf and sports court area. Additionally, the facility is set to introduce Shoreline Orthopaedics' motion analysis technology, Dari Motion, which will be available in 2025, further enhancing its rehabilitation and performance assessment capabilities.
