Software agency returns to downtown Grand Rapids

Custom software development firm Kyros Digital is relocating from its office on Ann St. to a 4,000-square-foot office in the historic Harris Building on May 1. The move marks a return to the city’s downtown for the company, which shifted operations during the pandemic.

Located on the third floor of the Harris Building in the Heartside neighborhood, the new space reflects Kyros Digital’s commitment to being part of the region’s growing tech and business ecosystem. The company cited proximity to local businesses and the city’s ongoing investment in large-scale developments, such as the nearby Acrisure Amphitheater, as key factors in its decision.

“We just felt it was time to move back downtown again,” said Chris Ake, Partner at Kyros Digital and Co-Owner of Harris Building. “When COVID struck, we were forced to work from home and end our downtown lease. We found a temporary spot but always wanted to be back downtown in the heart of the city where the business communities were at. It just felt right.”

The new office space places the company in the middle of Grand Rapids’ urban energy and provides ample room to grow. According to Ake, the location at 111 Division Ave S, supports stronger team collaboration and enhanced opportunities for client engagement.

“We felt it was time to relocate back downtown and join the business community,” said Ake. “We’re seeing multimillion-dollar investments happening just blocks away. Being part of that momentum brings exciting energy back to our company.”
