Start Garden and GRABB to host special 5x5 Night
In celebration of Black History Month, Start Garden and Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses are teaming up to celebrate the culture and hustle of Black entrepreneurs at a special 5x 5 Night on February 27 at 5 p.m.
Entrepreneurs have until February 19 at 11:59 p.m. to submit ideas. Five ideas will be selected to present on February 27 for a chance to win $5,000.
“This could be for those who have business ideas or those who are currently in a business and they're looking for some additional capital to help them get to that next step,” said Jamiel Robinson, Founder, Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses.
According to Start Garden, there is no restriction on the type of idea that a creator can submit, but it is important to remember that it is all about advancing an idea. Entreprenuers should be clear about what it takes for the next $ 5,000 step.
Judges are members of 5×5 Night and a representation of the region’s small business, enterprise, non-profit, civic leadership, and creative communities.
