Wealth management firm and trust bank adds board member

Private trust bank Legacy Trust has appointed Skot Welch to its Board of Directors. Welch brings a multi-faceted business background that includes working as a global diversity and inclusion strategist, venture capital fund executive, industry thought leader, speaker, and author.

Welch is the founder and principal of Global Bridgebuilders, an organizational development, cultural transformation, and inclusion firm that serves enterprises throughout the world. He is also co-founder and managing partner of the New Community Transformation Fund, a $25 million venture capital fund focusing on entrepreneurs of color.

Welch’s impact extends beyond the business community. He is an advocate for education and the arts. He is the founder of the Mosaic Film Experience, a nonprofit educational platform that empowers underrepresented youth to explore emerging and creative careers through storytelling. Welch has also been involved with the Greater Michigan Chapter of the National Black MBA Association and The Belonging Initiative.
