Workshop aims to overcome 'West Michigan nice' culture
Grand Rapids-based consulting business Know Honesty will host its Become a Masterful Communicator Workshop at the Grand Rapids Chamber on May 22 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to create open and honest environments, identify real issues quickly, and be a masterful communicator.
Attendees will learn six practices that can be immediately applied to enhance communication in various settings.
"What we're doing is changing lives and improving teams. We don't want it to be just for our clients though, we want to help our entire community. When we're all equipped to be masterful communicators, that's when I believe we'll rid ourselves of the 'West Michigan Nice' that's embedded in our society and wreaking havoc on relationships," said Grace VanDenBrink, Co-Founder, Know Honesty.
Founded in 2016 by Ken Bogard and Grace VanDenBrink, Know Honesty was created to tackle perceived deficiencies in workplace honesty. The organization counters societal trends of disconnection by advocating for authentic interactions and aims to improve communication within organizations, among professionals, and for individuals.
Tickets to Become a Masterful Communicator Workshop are $250 per participant. For more information and to register, visit https://knowhonestyworkshop.rsvpify.com.
