The Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival will again illuminate Calder Plaza, 300 Ottawa Ave. NW, June 14 through 16. The free community event allows attendees to experience diverse Asian and Pacific Islander cultures through a blend of performances, food from local vendors, and interactive activities. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

New this year, the festival will feature a Filipino-inspired craft beer by City Built Brewing Company, Dragonfruit Seltzer by The Mitten Brewing Co., Zini Vodka, and Founders Brewing Company.

The festivities kick off Friday, June 14, with an electrifying K-pop dance competition, a neon Glow Party showcasing prominent Asian DJs, and a Lion dance performance.

On Saturday, June 15, the festival will feature an extensive entertainment lineup, including performances by David Yang, Chenning, Japanese DJ Kohei, Soundredd, a Filipino rock band from Chicago, Mc Hung Kiet, HMG group, and more.

Sunday, June 16, is Family Day as the festival features hula lessons, Haka performances, and other instructional sessions.

"We've crafted a space where everyone is not just welcome but celebrated, where our differences are our strength, and where unity is the heartbeat of our community," said Ace Marasigan, Founder of Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival and Executive Director of Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Foundation. "Through food, music, and shared experiences, we unite as one."

The Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival is proudly supported by the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission.
