Nonprofit to host Westminster- Kentucky Derby-themed event
Paws With A Cause, a Wayland-based nonprofit that custom-trains assistance dogs, is hosting its first-ever Hats & Hounds fundraiser on May 14 at 6 p.m. at Wildwood Family Farms, 7970 Snow Ave SE in Alto. The theme mixes the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which will be aired during the event, and The Kentucky Derby.
Guests and their dogs are encouraged to dress in their Sunday best, including hats and bowties.
“We’re excited to offer a unique experience in West Michigan where people can attend a fundraiser and bring their dog. We hope people will come out to enjoy a fun night in a tranquil setting while also supporting a great cause,” said Kristy Blackmore, Special Events Manager, Paws With A Cause.
Tickets include a strolling dinner catered by Butcher Block Social, complimentary beer and wine during happy hour with a cash bar to follow, cocktails available for purchase, games, activities, and prizes.
