Kids and families from the Holland area are lacing up their running shoes for Holland Hospital's 12th annual School Nurse Fun Run on September 19.

As awareness of critical mental health issues in the construction industry grows, West Michigan Works! and its Construction Careers Council, will host Building Minds: A Conference on Mental Health in Construction.

Funding will be distributed to 18 community-based organizations operating 31 programs from October 2024 to September 2025.  

The community is invited to donate essential medical and school supplies.

Last year's campaign raised $5,450 to increase access to the healthy food all kids need to thrive.

This world-class hospital will be designed for and exclusively dedicated to the rehabilitation of infants, children, and teens.

The facility boasts six indoor courts for year-round play and six outdoor courts available seasonally.

The current world record is 27 hours and 5 minutes set by a foursome out of Missoula, Montana.

Listeners are encouraged to make a donation during the event to help continue providing nutritious meals and educational programs to children in need.

Rankings are based on factors including clinical outcomes, physician perception, quality of care, and patient experience.

The conference aims to provide incoming freshman student athletes with a safe space to learn about mental health and to give them the tools to navigate their journeys as valued individuals.

Services will include pediatric care, student athletes, work injury, pain management, post-stroke and post-injury support, outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

The enhanced online portal is designed to provide the public with easy access to inspection reports for food establishments, body art shops, and public swimming pools.

Recently, the fund awarded $100,000 in grants and has contributed over $403,971 since its inception in 2014.

The awards will support the training of 919 new hires, 387 new apprentices and 1,263 incumbent workers, significantly boosting job growth, skill development and workforce capabilities across multiple industries.

The free HEALTH Summer Camp aims to empower young individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead healthy lives.

The enrichment area is located next to the animal shelter on Kent County's Fuller campus. It includes several activity items, including a raised platform, vertical ramp, and tire obstacle course.

The West Michigan Water Safety Alliance (WMWSA) has launched its first Beach Ambassadors program in Holland, aiming to enhance water safety and reduce drowning incidents.
